"Words cannot express the depth of emotions I feel as I say goodbye to this amazing year-filled journey. What I will miss most is the direct contact with many individuals who brought so much to my life. Thank you for giving me the honor and privilege of representing the incredible married women of New York, while making a positive difference in the lives of many. To all the pageant sponsors; thank you for your generosity and support. You have enabled so many married women to live their dreams. To my entire pageant family; thank you for taking such great care of me while creating such special memories. To my friends; you have been my family's support system throughout the year and I appreciate all of you so very much. To my wonderful mom and dad, mother and father-in-law; thank you for your endless encouragement and enthusiasm. To Joanne Cercone, my director, friend and sister; we are an incredible team and we will continue to climb mountains together always. You are my family forever! To my darling husband, Steven and my beloved children, Jonathan, Daniel and Rachel; thank you for being my wonderful and supportive family. I love you more than any words can express. And finally, to my successor; embrace every moment of your reign, for it goes by very quickly! Wear the crown with respect, pride and gratitude and, of course, enjoy the extraordinary journey! Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to be your Mrs. New York America. My life is even fuller and more fabulous because of all of you!"

 

Sharing the stage one last time with her family while being the reigning title holder. Lidia's  husband, Steven, daughter Rachel and sons; Steven and Jonathan are more than proud of her accomplishment.

The audience was overwhelmed with excitement!  (L) Shana Jaycox and (R) Jennifer Stehlar waited with baited breath as the judge's decision was announced.

The excitement could be felt by all! This was Shana's 7th attempt at winning this title!

Her first Official walk as Mrs. New York America 2007! The audience was on their feet, in tears of joy and more than thrilled!
